Civil Ceremonies & Civil Partnerships

It is important to note that we at Gate Street Barn do not make any additional charge to hold your wedding ceremony here.  The only extra charges incurred are those charged by the registrar service themselves, details of which are below.

If you decide to have your ceremony at the Barn, please be sure to contact the Register Office in Guildford on 0300 200 1002 at the same time to book the date with them. Registrars are very busy during the peak wedding season and the 2pm Saturday slot is the most popular.

The Registrar cannot be booked more than 12 months in advance and you will need to contact the office at the appropriate time.

The total cost payable to the registrar to conduct a civil ceremony or partnership here at Gate Street Barn is as follows:

Up to 31st March 2011

Monday- Thursday: £320

Friday & Saturday: £360

Sunday and Bank Holidays: £430

Additional £3.50 per Marriage Certificate.

From 1st April 2011

Monday – Thursday: £357

Friday & Saturday: £397

Sundays and Bank Holidays: £467

Price is inclusive of two Marriage Certificates.

Civil Ceremonies are exempt from VAT.

A non-refundable deposit of £50 is payable to the registrar to book your ceremony - this is deducted from the final payment.
